The Green Sea Turtle is endangered because of climat change, hunting, over fishing, vessel strikes, littering and loss of nesting grounds. they are herbivores so they have a diet of only plants. When they lay there eggs, they lay them in the sand. They layup to 100 eggs! Green sea turtles lay thier eggs at the same beach that they were born at too! Mackinaw Island’s name actually means “the great turtle”!
